For the second consecutive year, UCR Health is a presenting healthcare sponsor for the Metrolink Holiday Express experiences in San Bernardino and Riverside on Sunday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 20, respectively.

The Metrolink Holiday Express is an interactive holiday event featuring music, treats, and crafts, followed by a scenic train ride that includes carolers, holiday characters, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

During the events, UCR Health physicians will conduct "Teddy Bear Clinics" where they teach children how to check vital signs on a teddy bear using a thermometer, blood pressure cuff, and stethoscope. The clinics aim to help children feel less afraid of going to the doctor and may even spark an interest in becoming one themselves. Additionally, UCR Health representatives will distribute vouchers good for a free teddy bear during the child's first "Well Child Visit" at UCR Health.

Tickets are $30 per rider with children under two riding free. Seating is limited and tickets may be purchased on the Metrolink website.
